BIO
I am a human in progress, like mostly everyone else, I guess. My roots are a bit spread around different places in Andalusia, but I feel more attached to the eastern side, especially to Granada and Guadix.
If I want to pretend I know what I'm doing I'd say I'm a polyhistor. I like trying new stuff and knowing about random topics. However, we could also summarise it as "Carlos focusing on just one thing may be a miracle".
My academic career has being mostly what a classical clarinet performer would have had but, in the end, I don't even see myself as a musician but an artist. I have things I want to say and I use art to give them a sharing shape. If it's music, writings, circus or any other kind of artistic manifestation, that will depend on my abilities to make it happen or to find people who can help me on that task. I love playing clarinet, but organising performances is something that gives me a sense of purpose.
I have learnt something about a variety of topics, such as clarinet, flute, tin whistle, contemporary dance, ballroom dances, hip hop, clown, impro, pole dance, acrobatics or aerial silks. I love art and I would love to learn about it all, but I am nothing more than a human, so not even all of those are up to date and ready to be used, but all of those (and some more too) have built me into the person I am today.
I hate learning languages but I'd love to be able to understand what everyone wants to tell me, so I've ended up by having some understanding in Spanish, English, Dutch, French, Italian, Catalan and a very little Greek and Finnish. This is definitely not for the CV but it's a part of me that I took a long time to discover.
I also love sports, but normally this wouldn't fit in a bio. However, this is my website, so now you'll know that I've tried almost all of them, even though I've only competed a bit in basketball, running and climbing.
Last but not least, my faith is in love. I believe in it as the most powerful force than can save us all, but that doesn't mean
I'm a pacifist. This is such a broad topic to talk, but that's why I do my projects. I love talking about love, feeling it and experiencing it in as many shapes as I can find it in.
